Kafka’s Laughter
On Joy and the Kafkaesque

In this article, the place and function of laughter in Kafka’s thought has been examined. It has been aimed to manifest the semantic layers of the theme of laughter in Kafka which has an importance within the context of philosophy of literature. Through the consideration of previous researchers who discussed the laughter in Kafka before, author focuses on revealing how the relation between joy and laughter shapes and affects what Kafkasque is. With this analyse and interpretation, the philosophical contexts of laughter in Kafka are presented.
