In this article, Georg W.F. Hegel and the problem of racism are discussed, which is a matter of controversy in general, not only in Turkish-speaking academics but also in various intellectual international circles. The focus is on the relevant chapters and themes in Hegel`s Philosophy of History in terms of practical and The Phenomenology of Spirit concerning the theoretical philosophy. At first, on the level of practical philosophy, the geographical expanse, the relationship between peoples and the Philosophy of History are the most concrete points which make the kind of conservatism claimed impossible. In addition, a short citation from the Philosophy of Right is another refutation of asserted arguments. And secondly, on the theoretical level, the problem of the relationship between ‘I’ and ‘other-I’ is explained through the central importance of ‘other I’ [...]
