Aims and Scope
Sofist: An International Journal of Philosophy is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to publishing original research in all areas of philosophy.
The journal aims to provide a platform for rigorous and original contributions that engage with contemporary philosophical debates as well as historically grounded analyses. It welcomes work from all major philosophical traditions, including but not limited to analytic philosophy, continental philosophy, philosophy of science, logic, epistemology, ethics, political philosophy, and the history of philosophy.
Sofist prioritises submissions that demonstrate:
- conceptual clarity and argumentative rigour
- engagement with relevant scholarly literature
- originality and critical contribution to ongoing discussions
In addition to research articles, the journal publishes review articles, translations of philosophically significant texts, book reviews, and discussion papers.
Submissions may be written in English or Turkish
